|
This is a start on our 08 schedule that we came up with at the meeting,
FEB-23rd-------------NEELY HENRY
MARCH-22nd--------WEDOWEE
APRIL-26th ----------GUNTERSVILLE
MAY 31st-------------BRUSHY BRANCH
JUNE 21st------------NEELY HENRY
JULY 19th------------OPEN AT RIVERSIDE
AUG-16th------------WEST POINT or LOGAN MARTIN
SEPT 20th------------WEISS ( State Ramp)
OCT 11th & 12th---------CLASSIC
We also need to decide on the 2 day tournament for the regular season. ... please give input
We need input on the Aug tournament if there are other lakes you are interested in , feel free to mention it
We also discussed a few other things, such as membership dues, officers, etc...
Membership dues will be $35.00 for returning members and $50.00 for new members. Dues will be due by Dec. 15th after this date they will be $50.00 until Dec. 31st. After that you must be voted back in just like a new member. New members will receive a decal. We will make t-shirts, hats, visors and additional decals available at a cost.
We will also have a few changes to the way we pay at the tournaments in the mornings. It is your responsibilty to locate the tournament director or assistant tournament director and pay your money at which time you will draw for your launch order, WE WILL NOT HUNT YOU DOWN. If you put in before the person taking money gets there you will just have to get out of your boat and go pay, We will have this person in a central location and easily accessable.
We will have more things to discuss besides these but this is a few to get started with.
Also we have a new Tournament Director (its not really new, just a new title) T.W. Dingler will be the Tournament Director. The decisions that he makes at the tournaments are FINAL!!! (as long as they are reasonable)
Any complaints must be made to Todd or Duane at the tournaments you may pull us to the side or however you see fit. If you think a fish may be short ask the T.D. to measure it. dont wait until after its too late to complain. Also Randall Heard will be the Assistant T.D., he will fill in for T.W. in the event he is not there, he will also help T.W. with whatever he needs. I will continue to weigh the fish to free up our T.D. to do things such as make sure everyone is back in time and so-on.We also have a new Treasurer, Cathy Hobbs, she will be in charge of the finances of the club. If anyone has any concerns about where dues and others money go, she will have the answer.
I appreciate the participation in our meeting and I know a few of you planned on coming that didn't and that is my fault. I take full responsibilty for that. This is not a schedule set in stone but this is a very good start, please feel free to post on the forum or email me with any questions or concerns. If you don't want to make it public on this forum please email me and I will keep it completely confidential.
Thanks Todd _________________

Alright guys and girls, Cathy is our new treasurer but I am going to help her get started in the routine of things so I will be collecting returning members dues for the 2008 season. As Todd mentioned above membership dues are due by December the 15, and I can not spend the next month and a half begging for dues. Here are a couple of simple ways to pay. Either see me(TW), Todd, or Duwayne in person and pay, or email me Only registered users can see links on this forum! Register or Login on forum! | ---and I will email you my address( I don't want to post it on here because we don't know how many non-members view our site). If you choose to mail it be sure to allow plenty of time for it to arrive by December 15, otherwise it will be considered late. I know it's easy to put it off, but just remember we are entering the holiday season and alot of folks stay real busy, so I suggest taking care of this ASAP.
Also If you have a team that is interested in joining please send me an email with their names. At this time we are not sure of exactly how many teams we are going to carry, how many new teams we will need, or even how we will select which teams get invited if we have more than open spots. However, it almost only seems fair to do it first come first serve that is why I suggest you get their names on the list.
Last of all, this year we are going to make every effort to to make things a little smoother at the tournaments. I will be at the Ramp as quick as I can each morning but I may not always be the first one there, therefore this season you will have the option to pay the next tournaments entry fee at the end of each tournament. I am doing this so that if some folks want to get to the ramp and put in and not get out they will already have their entry fees payed. At a few of the tournaments I was able to stand at the ramp and collect money as you pulled in. That is the way I plan on doing it at every tournament this year. Also I am going to provide each team with a marker (some kind of ribbon for your trolling motor) to help identify teams coming in to weigh in and also will identify teams out on the lake as other basssouth teams. Weigh in will be at 3:05p.m. at every tournament. Please remember this because I don't want anyone to take out early and then their fish die. The time has been set to give Todd time to set up scales,tent,etc.... and myself time to make sure everyone is in by 3:00pm and to get to the scales. After you weigh your fish please find Duwayne and let him get your picture with your fish. We need pics from the first person to the last.
Once again guys please feel free to email me or post any questions or comments that you may have. This is OUR club and we can all have input.. |

If you pay at the end of the previous tournament then you will still have to get out to get your number that morning. right? Are we going to have a 2 day tournament for the classic? We pick Weiss Lake (state ramp) for a 2 day tournament during the regular season. That is if they ever put any water back in it. |

Actually you will not have to get out of your boat. We are going to set our launch order by the way you finish the previuos tournament. So if you finish first at Neely henry you will launch first at wedowee. If a team is not at the tournament they will go last. If more than 1 team is not there they will go in the order they pay the entry fee. Paying before the next tournament is a choice that you will make but if you pay you are entered and if you do not show up it will be free money to the winner. This will help the teams that know they are coming and like to beat all the boat traffic. The other option you have is find the tournament director and pay him at the tournament. Once again I will get there as early as possible, but it may not be early enough for some of you.
Now is the time to offer suggestions or comments, so get involved |
