The fish are tearin it up on that lake right now. There has been a lot of fish in the 8+ class being caught up there. I was told DNR shocked up a 10.68 up there last week and a 11.02 was brought into a store. Fished with a friend that lives up toward Dalton. I don't think we caught a fish under 15 in. And we caught a bunch. We caught most of them in pockets off the main river with any type of plastic. There are a lot of fish on bed up there right now. We didn't catch any sight fishing but it was fun to try. Here's a pic on the big one of the day.

We put the fish in the livewell and went to the ranger station at harrison bay to see if they had some certified scales. Which they didn't. Weighed her three different times on some Berkley digital scales twice it was 9 lb. 2.5oz. Once it went 9 lb. 9 oz. We took some pics and measurements and let her go alive and well.

Thanks, That was my first trip there. I was really going to try to get a shot at a smallmouth since I've never caught one. Thats the biggest LM i've ever caught. They say that the past few years that the chick has been producing some giant bass. Good luck finding a house there. Thats a beautiful lake.

Didn't catch any smallies. Or at least we didn't put any in the boat. I had a fish on that my buddy said looked like a smallie when it rolled. But i didn't get a good look at it. Running the channel out of Harrison Bay where we put in at didn't look to hard and was really marked well. We didn't go to far from the ramp because the wind got up and was blowing close to 20-25. Again this was my first time on this lake and didn't have a clue as to what was what. But about every cove we went into to get out of the wind we caught fish and saw some on bed.

No really, pretty much all the big bags come on the samething that they usually do. Chatter baits, spinnerbaits, and jigs fished in the dead grass.
